In 1986, Roy Craddock took voluntary redundancy from a large Electrical Engineering Company and started up a new Business called Roy Craddock Electrical Services. Through word of mouth and a back-catalogue of excellent installations, gradually more staff were hired to keep up with demand.
Roy’s youngest son, Damian, joined as an apprentice in the early 1990’s and has been running the business since the early 2000’s. In 2003 the company name changed to Craddock Electrical Services Ltd and moved to our current Offices / Stores in 2005. We have been NICEIC Approved Contractors since 1990 and as such are one of the longest established NICEIC Approved Contractors in Bedford. We strive to maintain very high standards of installation work and Customer Service, with the aim of having repeat returning Customers.
We have always seen the benefit of training our own Electricians and usually have at least one Apprentice within the company. We have trained a vast amount of local Electricians, and some of them have stayed with us for as long as 14 years!
We have taken on some challenging jobs during our years of trading, and in some unusual locations. We have become known for taking on bespoke works and on one occasion in the 1990’s we even rewired a Russian nuclear Submarine moored at the Thames Barrier which was a tourist attraction at that time! So you can be sure that whatever project you are taking on that needs Expert Electrical knowledge and experience, we have the skills to cope with pretty much anything!
